Around 80 paintings and prints are on display at this exhibition with the theme of fear, including both visually frightening pieces, and ones which have chilling backgrounds behind their creation. Paul Delaroche's "The Execution of Lady Jane Grey" is being displayed for the first time in Japan at this exhibition, and is the piece garnering the most attention, even next to works by greats such as Turner, Cézanne and Moreau.
