Fantastic Art in Belgium Exhibition

イベント説明

This exhibition covers the category of fantasy paintings that has developed since the late Middle Ages in the present Belgian-Flanders region and surrounding areas. Heteromorphic things such as devils and monsters drawn by Hieronymus Bosch are filled with realism. As the era continued, these traditional means of expression transformed into capriccio (fantasy painting), symbolism, surrealism, and were passed on to the artists of today as well.
