The changing landscape has led many of us to consider purchasing the first ever strap-on dildo (and to realize how complicated the world of strap-on shopping can be).

As a result, silicone based lubricants can actually corrode your silicone toys, which is no fun for anyone. Find a harness that feels right to you.
Now that we've covered the basics of bondage dildos, it's time to explore the other half of bondage sex: the harness.

Once you find a harness you like, make sure it's compatible with the size and shape of the dildo you're interested in. Otherwise, you will need to find a new dildo or a new harness. To avoid potential mismatches, Cole recommends purchasing a bundled backpack. These usually include dildos of various sizes, as well as harnesses with adjustable O-rings. These allow you to explore different kinds of toys using the same harness, while always knowing you'll have a perfect fit.
Take some time to get used to your lanyard before using it.
After purchasing a harness and matching harness, Cole recommends that you take some time to familiarize yourself with it before trying it out with a partner.
She says, "If you plan to be the recipient, try using the dildo yourself first; that way, you'll know it feels good and can tell your partner." If you plan to wear a strap-on, try it on and get used to how it feels on you. cole adds, "The more you think of it as a (literal) extension of yourself, the better."
When it comes time to actually use your fixtures, Cole says, slow down and make sure to communicate with your partner. "If you're on the receiving end, remember that your partner can't feel the dildo, so they will need you to tell them it feels good!" Cole added.

For starters, you'll need to clean the toy after each use. skyler notes, "Most toys can be cleaned easily and safely with warm water and soap." However, if you want to take it a step further, you can purchase a sex toy cleaner. (Cole recommends using Lovehoney Fresh toy cleaner for $14.99. It takes a couple to do it.)
While some post-game cleaning can seem a bit tedious, remember: Not only will this keep the toy as sanitary as possible, it will also extend the life of the toy. (And, since sex toys can get a little pricey, it's definitely worth it.)

Of course, lubrication is basically always a good idea. If you're experimenting with anal penetration, be sure to use a lubricant.
